About Me

Hi, my name's Rob!

I've been coaching people to achieve physical and mental Personal Best's for the last 6 years. I pride myself in delivering bespoke sessions to help you achieve the body you deserve, whilst actually feeling good in it along the way. I've worked with a whole host of people from the 'I want to push myself to the absolute limit' semi-professional/recreational athlete to the 'I really don't want to be here, but I feel I should be' beginner, and I've loved helping them all.

Whether you're looking to learn the ropes, you're suffering through a nagging injury that's stopping you from doing the things you love with the people you love, you feel like you're 'too old' to improve anything and are just going through the motions, or you're a 'gym aficionado' but have been feeling stagnant in your exercise routine and starting to hit a plateau (we've all been there)... I'm more than happy to help you.

I think when choosing a Coach/Personal Trainer, it's important to know what you want from the experience. For the most part, we can all get you from A-B (some faster than others of course), but your Health and Fitness is not just a destination to arrive at. It takes work to change habits, it takes commitment to make improvements, and most importantly takes time to get to where you feel you want to be.

In terms of my coaching style and general outlook on life, I believe in creating a collaborative space where I can play a supporting role in guiding you to your potential (that's what I do best and where I can add the most value). I am not a 'drill-sergeant' or 'dictator' stereotype, there are plenty of great Personal Trainers/Coaches who enjoy that role and are absolutely brilliant at it, but that's not me and not what I claim to offer. I want to foster a positive relationship with exercise and promote healthy behavior changes that you can take with you across your life span and hopefully even share with your loved ones. That doesn't mean you don't have to work hard or you won't achieve your goals, it just means that I have a more measured approach and work with every individual as they come on the day. Not every workout is going to be your best, but we'll work together to get the best out of each and every one so you leave feeling better than when you walked in.

The thing is, I've actually been the absolute beginner who struggled with body image and self-confidence. On the other hand, I've also been the athlete that just wants to be better, no matter the cost. Who I am today however, is the Coach I needed in both of those situations. I've learnt the hard way that the messaging from the fitness industry can be confusing and often times contradictory and trying to follow it all and apply it all is a minefield best left alone. I've also learnt that what we do each day is important, but how we feel about what we do each day is much more so.

So if you feel that you need someone to support you, guide you, and motivate you towards a better version of yourself in and out of the gym, reach out and we can discuss how best I can help you.
